SERPENTE

Serpente floor Lamp designed by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce in 1965. This is a famous, dynamic Italian design and is on display in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The swiveling upper arm allows for a broad range of motion and when fully extended appears to defy gravity while taking on a serpent-like appearance. This fixture has an innovative white opal methacrylate diffuser, with lacquered metal frame and base.
