KAYAK STOOLPatrick Norguet
The kayak seating collection designed by Patrick Norguet expands with the introduction of a brand-new stool. Kayak stool is an object of great technical complexity, characterised by the subtle combination of a shaped wooden shell, in which the seat and the back curve in two directions, and the new structure formed by four solid wood legs and equipped with a metal footrest. Practical and versatile, kayak stool is available in two heights and it perfectly integra- tes into the collection, which has been develo- ped through traditional technologies. This gave life to a technically complex project of great elegance and comfort.
Born in Tours in 1969, Patrick Norguet studied at the Industrial Design High School in Paris. He founded his design firm in 2000, ranging from industrial product design to architectural designs. In 2005 he was voted designer of the year at Now! Design for living (Maison & Objets). He designs interior products and architecture for a range of clients. For Alias, he has signed the kobi chair collection (2012) and kayak (2014). He currently lives and works in Paris.
