Quinlan Osborne

CLASTE

At Swim Two Tables designed by Quinlan Osborne for Claste. The title of this piece refers to a novel by the Irish writer Flann O’Brien At Swim Two Birds which in its most basic interpretation is a book about somebody who is writing a book. The novel is layered in nuances and meaning which is what inspired the thought of placing a table within another so as to call into question which is the real table. Is the glass box to be interpreted solely as a case in the way a museum protects its artifacts or is it perhaps something more?
